Tourism is one of the most important factors in a country’s economy. Many countries are dependent on tourism. Here, in Pakistan, we can also generate a lot of revenue, if we pay a little more attention to it.
Here we have many tourist spots, from North to South and from East to West. From the beaches of Sindh and Balochistan to the historical sites and Northern areas. We are a host to nearly every kind of tourist spot. But, the government nor the people pay much attention to it. The main reason for this is that our country was facing too many other crises hence, it was neglected. However, taken to the fact that our country is a much better place now, it is time we promote tourism here. It is commendable that the current government is paying much heed to the promotion of tourism in Pakistan. It is the fruit of the current government’s policies regarding the promotion of tourism that the US Travel Magazine declared Pakistan as the No. 1 Tourist spot in the Year 2020.
Now I would mention a few places here which are the most attractive places to visit. In the North, Pakistan is home to 108 peaks of the heights 7000+ metres numerous 6000+ peaks and has three different Mountain ranges namely Hindukush, Karakoram and Himalayas. Some best spots to visit there are Babusar Top, Naran, Kaghan, Swat, Malam Jabba, Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Hunza Valley, etc. Pakistan is also home to the world’s second-highest peak K-2. Coming towards the south we have many archaeological sites which are great tourist sites. Such places include Taxila, Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, etc. Furthermore, there are nearly 14 National Parks, and the Government is working to increase its number. Pakistan is also home to beaches in the South, rivers and many more.
Now it is our job to use different forms of media to promote tourism for foreigners as well so that they come and see the beauty of Nature. We are provided with every kind of a blessing in our land. The kind of beauty we have in Pakistan is far much pleasant than in other countries such as Switzerland. We, Pakistanis must be proud of the God-gifted Natural beauty.
Amidst this, we are also facing an alarming challenge of Climate Change, which must also be addressed. For that, we need to promote ecotourism, to conserve ecology. We need to save the wildlife and their ecosystems whilst promoting tourism.
Above all, tourism can play a great part in boosting the economy of the Nation. In this regard, our Government, the Army and the People are playing an important part. The Army brought peace and now our country is all safe for local and foreign tourists. Recently on Eid, nearly 700,000 cars entered Naran and Kaghan, generating a revenue of around 66.5 Billion Rupees. This was a record revenue generation with a record number of tourists.
Concluding, I would say please promote peace. Promote Tourism. Promote Pakistan. It is our job to change the perspective of the world towards Pakistan. With this, I would also appeal, that please save the environment, the wildlife, and their ecosystems. Keep your country clean and green. Plant trees, conserve the environment and promote tourism, generate revenue, show a positive image of Pakistan.
